About	Robert E. “Bob” Brabham, 19, Longview student at the University of Texas, died in a car wreck while traveling to Ft Worth. Son of Mr & Mrs M H Brabham. He was with, Nan Cohen & Lynn Cohen, Lgv. who are daughters of Dr & Mrs Ralph Cohen. His father was the division traffic manager of Texas Eastman Company. A sophomore at the University of Texas, he was a member of the UT Longhorn swim team. Awarded an athletic scholarship by Texas his senior year at LHS where he graduated in 1964. Member of the Key Club, Pan-Am Club, tennis team & Sr class Student Council representative. He was an active member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Longview. Received scholarship to Texas for his outstanding record as a member of the Longview YMCA. Named to the Texas High School All-State Swim team in 1964 & won many honors while swimming for the Longview “Y” & was outstanding in 100-yard breaststroke & in relays. Served as lifeguard for Pinecrest Country Club & helped teach kids to swim at the YMCA.
