I attended Lone Star in 1971-72 (5th grade, Mrs. Young's class), 1972-73 (6th grade, Mr. Young), and part of 7th grade (1973-74). I was a cheerleader for part of the year in 6th grade and I played basketball on the girls' basketball team. Sometimes the boys would allow me and my friends Lisa Harrison and Lisa Bailey to play softball, baseball, and touch football with them at recess. The kids I remember other than the 2 girls I mentioned are Cheryl Henderson, Dale Kelley, Mike Kirby, Kelly Gregory, Todd Johnston, Kenny Friend, Marlon Southerland, Cindy Carr, Lisa Fowler, Clayton Vaugh, Sammy Payne, Clint Walkup, George Pease, David Alexander, Robert Sipe, Tom Jones, Heidi Bahlow, Mary Todd, Brenda Kendall, Mike Kendall, August "Auggie" Fonholz, Linda South, JoQuitta Hill (?), Debbie Johnston, Melody McGuire, Pam Scott, Kenny Graham, and Janet Mills.Teachers included married couple Mr. and Mrs Dean Young, Mrs. Childress, Mrs. Grant, and Mrs. Mears. I know there are other students and teachers, but I cannot remember all the names. I'm just wondering how everyone's lives turned out. I'm sorry to have heard that we lost Todd Johnston awhile back.
