About	Pastor Thomas LeRoy Smith, 43, of Burlington, died at his residence, on Monday, January 17, 2011. Born on December 26, 1967 in Des Moines, Iowa, he was the son of David and Gloria McCullough Smith. He married Amy Salsbury on March 21, 1992 in Des Moines, Iowa. Tom graduated from Lincoln High School in 1986. He received his B.A. in Religion from Drake University and his Masters of Divinity at the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary. Tom was a member and pastor of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Burlington, Iowa. He is survived by his wife, Amy; one son, Cameron Smith; two daughters, Charissa Smith and Cayleigh Smith; his mother, Gloria Salinas of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one sister, Yolanda Seveir of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three brothers, Randy, Michael & Marco Smith, all of Des Moines, Iowa; his paternal grandmother, Marie Smith of Tulsa, Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be dearly missed by the entire church family at First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Burlington, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his father, one niece and one uncle. Funeral services for Pastor Thomas LeRoy Smith were held on Monday, January 24, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Burlington, Iowa. Pastors Geoffrey Mitchell and Dean Benton will officiate.
