About	She died at 5 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, in St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo. Born Jan. 1, 1943, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Joseph and Pearl Browning Lucas. A graduate of West Washington High School, Campbellsburg, Penny received her bachelor's degree in physical education from Indiana State University, and her master's degree from Ball State University. Penny taught for two years at Knox High School and then completed her teaching career with 37 years at Lewis Cass Junior-Senior High School in Walton. She initiated the girls' athletic volleyball, basketball and track programs at Lewis Cass and was a sectional-winning coach in volleyball and basketball. In 2002 she was inducted into the Lewis Cass Coach's Hall of Fame. She retired from teaching in 2003.
