About	Billy died of soft tissue sarcoma in Louisville, KY. He put up a valiant, but painful fight. He lived with his sister, Cindy Starr Dicken and her husband, Bob, for the last three years of his life. Cindy was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 1999 and had a bilateral masectomy followed by weeks of chemotherapy. After Billy died eight months later, Cindy found some of Billy's notes which talked about how proud he was to help his big sister through the tribulations on cancer. They went to the same oncology practice and often had chemotherapy at the same time.
