Fellow 1969 classmates – quick update on our reunion activities. We currently are planning a casual get together at the Jealous Monk in Mystic Village for Friday night, October 4th from 5- ?. We’ll grab a corner of the pub and plan to hang out for the evening! Come one, come all – no RSVP required. Hotels
Please note that the band Journey is playing at Mohegan Sun on Friday and Saturday night, so that changes up the room costs and availability. Saturday night is clearly the most expensive across the board due to the casino presence. There are plenty of other hotels in the area due to the two casinos that you could use, but it is imperative to move out quickly as they do fill up and the rates will only get more expensive. We picked out 3 hotels looking to cover a couple of different price ranges and the Hilton booker threw in the Bellissimo possibility as part of the equation. Note we tried to get into Mohegan Sun, and they provided us discounted rates of $647 in the Earth Tower for the three nights. If you have any questions about the hotel situation, feel free to contact Bill Evans at 908-419-9890.

As far as hotels are concerned we have the following:
1. If you have friends in town that you plan to stay with, want to use Airbnb, or use your frequent traveler points, we understand that will be your first choice.
2. We looked into a number of hotels in the Uncasville, Griswold, Mystic and North Stonington areas. We selected four that you may want to consider and set up blocks to accommodate our travelers; please understand that there is a 15% tax on top of all quoted rates below:

a. The AmericInn in Griswold which is close to the golf course for Sunday's events. Their rates are $129 (F), $ 159 (Sat) and $99 (Sun).

c. Bellissimo Hotel in North Stonington offers rates of $ 114 (Thurs), $114 (F), $214 (Sat) and $114 (Sun).
Guests may make reservations on-line via www.bellissimogrande.com, searching the date of travel to make their reservation and entering the group code LHS to see group availability and rates.
