About	Donald W. Moore, Jr (Donnie), 26, of Lansing, KS passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at his home. He was born September 17, 1982 in Leavenworth, the son of Donald W. Moore, Sr. and Catherine (Butterfield) Darge. He married Katie M. Howell on June 9, 2007 in Ellsworth, KS. Donnie is survived by his wife Katie and their two daughters, Emma Catherine and Alexis Claire. He is further survived by his sister Beth Darge, mother Catherine and Chris Darge, father Donald W. Sr. and Cindy Moore, stepbrothers, Bennett and Raecyne Giles, Lukas and Michelle Giles and Sethanial Giles, mother and father-in-law Rick and Lois Pflughoeft, grandmothers Anna Butterfield and Wanda Dodge, nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Donald K. and Valencia Moore, Robert Dodge, Freeman Butterfield and Virginia Darge. He was raised in the Leavenworth area and graduated from Lansing High School. He later attended Washburn University where he graduated with a Bachelorâ€™s degree in Political Science. Donnie enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, his friends and family, especially his daughters. He was always there for the people in his life. He put his whole heart into being a devoted and compassionate husband and father. His visitation will be held Friday, April 24, at 6 to 8 p.m. at Davis Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 25 at 10:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2101 10th Ave., Leavenworth, KS followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Lansing, KS. His family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be given to help with funeral expenses in care of Davis Funeral Chapel, 531 Shawnee St., Leavenworth, KS.
