About	Michelle was born May 6, 1950 in St. Paul, MN. When she was a young child, her family moved west to Washington state. In the summer of 1967 she met Al (Alex), a young Coast Guardsman stationed in Seattle and on April 19th the following year they were married. This year they chose to celebrate their anniversary by renewing their wedding vows in front of family and friends. Michelle and her husband moved to Yakima, WA. in 1973, where for the next 20 years Michelle worked for various employers, but it was always work that involved helping and caring for people with special needs. Her heart was always with anyone who was disadvantaged in any way. After her husband's retirement, they left Yakima and moved to Alaska. For the next eighteen years, Michelle worked as an attendant on Special Needs school buses. For most of those years Michelle and Alex were blessed to work together on the same bus as he became a school bus driver. Besides her family, the other love of her life was for animals, especially dogs and cats. Her home was never without at least one animal and usually between two and five. Michelle is survived by her husband of 55 years, Alex, her daughter Rebecca Bond-Knuth and husband Scott Knuth of Vancouver, WA. , three grandchildren, Tyler Barnes of Wasilla, AK., Joshua Godwin of Wasilla, AK., Alyssa Godwin-Ochoa of Kennewick, WA., and one great grandson, Ivan Ochoa of Kennewick, WA.
