Service description Commissioned Ensign SEP1973. Flight training at NAS Chase Field (VT-26, VT-24) earned wings AUG1974. Assigned as an advanced jet instructor with VT-24. 1976 Assigned to NAS Chase training department. 1979 transition training, A-7E (VA-174, NAS Cecil Field FL). Changed designator to Naval Flight Officer in 1980. Assigned as navigator/communications officer with VQ-3 (EC-130Q "Hercules") at NAS Agana Guam OCT1980. Squadron re-located to NAS Barbers Point HI 1981. Departed active duty NOV1982. Entered naval reserve in 1983, promoted to Leiutenant Commander (O4). Assigned to Chief of Naval Air Training staff 1983-84. Transfered to VP-94 NAS New Orleans in 1984 as Tactical Navigator on the P-3B "Orion". Promoted to Commander (O5) in 1990, Assigned to Naval Rediness Command Region Four (FT Dix NJ) in 1995. Retired APR1997. |
