About	Shelly Ann Herritz (May 1, 1959 - February 3, 2014) Send Sympathy Card Guest Book \| Sign Guest Book \| Send Private Condolences Shelly Ann Herritz Madison – Shelly Ann (Elert) Herritz, age 54, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 3, 2014 in Madison. She was born on May 1, 1959 in Madison, the daughter of Raymond “Jerry” and Kay (Sullivan) Elert. Shelly graduated from LaFollette High School in 1977 and cherished the many friends she made there. She worked for the State of Wisconsin in the Legislative Reference Bureau for over 20 years. Shelly was a loving and kind person who deeply enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She especially treasured her trips to the Northwoods with her cousins and other relatives. She loved traveling cross country on their many family vacations. Shelly was an avid Badger fan and also enjoyed music, garage sales, word search puzzles, bowling, karaoke, and her morning coffee and cookies. Most importantly she loved her dog, Sammi. She is survived by her four children: Suzanne, Ryan, Zach (Janelle) and Jordan (Lexi) Herritz; her grandchildren, Kiley, Sophie and Noah; her parents, Jerry and Kay Elert; brother, Scott (Ginny) Elert; nieces Amber and Erin Elert; former husband of 20 years, Reggie Herritz; and many other family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Ryan Funeral Home, 6924 Lake Road, DeForest. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.
