Jimmy Mattmiller was my neighbor growing up, and he was a lot of fun. Good personality and an infectious laugh. I can remember his Mom giving a Halloween party for Jimmy and bobbing for apples. A good memory. His family had a boxer named Champ, and he was allowed to roam the neighborhood day and night. Champ loved all of the neighborhood kids and was always hanging out with one of us. However, he had a couple of bad habits. He would stand right behind us and drool profusely, causing whichever kid he chose to either trip or be slobbered on. After dark, you never knew when Champ would flying out of the darkness to scare us half silly, when we were walking home. I lost track of Jimmy after high school, but I remember him with fondness.
