About Linda Drew passed away on November 2, with devoted and loving friends and family at her side, in Lake County, California. Born in Klamath Falls, Oregon, Linda came to Lake County in 2000 and built a straw bale house, the "Oasis Ranch," which became the setting for many healing circles and creative events. She brought the world famous play "Vagina Monologues" to Lake County two years in a row, produced with local actors and playing to a full house each time, raising money for the women's shelter, a program for abused women. She wrote and directed "Lakeside Stories," a popular play based on her interviews with citizens of Lake County and performed by local actors at the community theater in Lower Lake. She is the author of two published memoirs, Pack a Peanut Butter Sandwich and Ranch Stories, as well being a contributor to Reads, an anthology of Lake County literary works. She was photographed for the CLAWS calendar which raised money for the spay and neuter program, and was a member of the "Women's Peace Circle," whose "Naked Peace Picture" went all over the world, raising funds for Lake County Peace Action. Linda is remembered with love and gratitude for her deep friendship, her inspiring creativity, and her enduring healing spirit.
