About Pamala Ann Heaton, 55, died Feb. 5, 2002, of injuries suffered in a single-vehicle automobile accident on Algoma Road near her Klamath Falls home.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Ward's Klamath Funeral Home. A gathering of family members and friends will follow at Reames Golf & Country Club. Cremation will be by Pyramid Cremations.

Mrs. Heaton was born Nov. 26, 1946, in Klamath Falls to Lyle and Betty (Hefley) Meyer.

She graduated from Klamath Union High School in 1965.

She married Larry Heaton on Dec. 22, 1966, in St. Pius X Catholic Church.

She received her diploma from the Oregon Institute of Technology's school of nursing in 1976 and worked for many years as a registered nurse at Klamath Medical Clinic and for Dr. Barbara Gilbertson.

Mrs. Heaton retired from nursing two years ago.

She was a member of the Cascade Combined Training Association, Oregon Dressage Society, California Dressage Society, United States Dressage Federation, Oregon Nurses Association, and Richmond Yacht Club.

Among her interests were horseback riding, sewing, skiing and sailing.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Heaton of Klamath Falls; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Kevin and Wendy Heaton of Klamath Falls; son, Mike Heaton of Paisley; grandchildren, Daniel, Patrick, Brian and Tyler Heaton of Klamath Falls; parents, Lyle and Betty Meyer of Klamath Falls; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charlie and Hazel Heaton of Klamath Falls; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
