About	Jimmy died a hero in 2000. He saved the lives of many others by giving his own after stopping a crazed gunman whom was shooting point blank. Though sort of a rebel growing up, he always looked out for his family and his close friends. He was a very handsome man so the ladies were always after him, but he chose his woman and he knew how to give his loyalties. Jimmy was always glad to meet new people, and there are many who can say they knew him. But to really have known him was something only his family and closest friends knew. To everyone else, he just tried to be as friendly and as cool of a friend as he could be to them. So he was a very easy person to get along with. He had a very strong personality and a very high self esteem. He jumped in front of a gun when everyone else fled. But he was still human. That's the side of him only few of us got to know and that's what still hurts inside of us. That's what made us really proud to be part of his life. He leaves behind his parents Maria and Pete Velasques, his brother Arnold and his sister Lucy.
