Shy's musical talents landed him a spot on the 2006 season of USA Network's "Nashville Star". He has released two albums and is currently working on his third with members of the Black Crowes band.
He was also nominated for Record of the Year by the Academy of Texas Music for his "Knockin' On Heavens Door".
