Born on February 4, 1963, in Bloomington, Minnesota, United States, John Morgan is a revered American former wrestler. Morgan was an athlete at Kennedy High School in Bloomington, Minnesota, where he emerged as a Minnesota State High School wrestling champion at 155 pounds in 1981. Pursuing his higher education at North Dakota State University, he continued to make his mark in the sports world.

John Morgan wrestled on an international level for the United States. He participated in the men's Greco-Roman 82 kg category at the 1988 Olympics and accomplished an impressive 7th place finish. His achievements further encompass being a four-time national champion from 1988 to 1991 and a member of the U.S. World Team from 1989 to 1991. He also earned the prestigious honor of becoming a four-time All-American from 1982-83 to 1985-86.

John Morgan's exceptional contributions to wrestling didn't go unnoticed. In 2004, the Minnesota Wrestling Coaches Association inducted him into the revered Dave Bartelma Hall of Fame. This accolade recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to Minnesota's wrestling community.
