Graduation Year Class of 1969
Date of Passing (unknown)
About Don and I knew each other from elementary school. He attended Columbus Junior High while I went to Arnold Junior High. We both then went to Jordan and graduated together. We were close friends during those years before high school. He and I exchanged comic books and played games that young boys do. He lived all the way across town from where I lived and I would ride a bicycle across town to play with him. In high school he became popular and was Mr. Jordan in 1969. He married another of the senior superlatives of that year, Carol Grant, and moved to Ohio. I saw him the last time at the 15 year reunion. I never saw my friend again. He is missed very much. One of my brothers bears his middle name.

Classmate Memories

John Simmons '69 said:

Don and I were classmates before we went to Jordan. We both attended Daniel Junior High School. We were in a class project together there with a stage presentation of "The Music Man". Don played the part of Professor Harold Hill while I was Charlie Cowell anvil salesman. After Daniel we parted ways and he went to Columbus Junior High while I went to Arnold Junior High. We were reunited when we both attended Jordan High School in 1966 to 67. We graduated together in the class of 69/ Early in our friendship we spent many hours together playing games and swapping comic books. We were fans of Marvel Comics. I remember a game called Stratego, a board game of battle tactics. Don lived across town from me and I would ride my bicycle over to his house where he lived with his mother.

My mother gave birth to a second brother of mine in 1966. I suggested the name of Bruce for him because of my good friend Donald Bruce Worsham.
