Henry Avery

Class of 1967

At the end of the hall in K building was the classroom they use to say it was for the special kids. Tommy Reinhardt called us all water heads. Myself, Ron Moore and Bill Deluca were sitting by the window while class was in session with our arms hanging out the window so the teacher didn't see we were all three smoking. We thought we were pretty cool getting away with that, till Coach Todd snuck up below the window and relieved us one at a time of our contraband cigarettes. As we sat there waiting for hm to walk through the door and drop the hammer down on us to our amazement he never did. I think he figured the fear of God was sufficient for first time offenders. He was a tough coach but all and all a great guy.
