Carrolyn Cross Pichet, Spingarn Class of 1959, who is an internationally known poet and author of three book, The Best is Yet to Come, 2010; Growing Up in the Nation’s Capital, 2013; My Lovely Golden Rose, Poetic Reflections and Precious Memories, 2014, will be on hand for a Book Signing at the 19th Annual All Classes Alumni Picnic and Membership Drive on September 13, 2014 at the Lake Arbor Country Club Pavillion in Mitchellville, MD. 2014 has been a good year for Carrolyn. She signed books at The Day of the Book Festival in Kensington, MD, the 2014 Artsfest in Riverdale, MD and the Powertalk International 43rd Blue Ridge Region Conference held in Rockville, MD. She talked about her book, Growing Up in the Nation’s Capital at a session of Author Talks sponsored jointly by the DC Public Libraries and the Model Cities Senior Wellness Center of Washington DC.
