There has been a change of venue for this performance, which will no longer be held at the Overture Center. Instead, the celebration, entitled, Music Education: a Community Opus will be held at Mills Concert Hall on the UW-Madison Campus. The event time and date will remain the same, March 7, 2009 at 7 pm.
We are still collecting memories and stories from Mr. Buchhauser's former students so that information can remain in the post.
We also wanted to add that there will be a reception after the concert and all alumni of Mr. Buchhauser's orchestras are invited to join us free of charge for both the reception and the concert.
We hope it will be a memorable celebration for a man who has touched the lives of so many young musicians.
