About	MADISON/ HOLLANDALE Jodi Lou Rickert, age 36, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2008, at the Hospice In Patient Unit in Fitchburg. Even though having made all the right choices and never having smoked, Jodi lost her life to a two-year battle with lung cancer. She was born on June 9, 1971, in Baraboo, the daughter of Cecil and Shirley (Wolfe) Barlow. A 1989 graduate of Madison Memorial High School, Jodi went on to further her education at Madison Area Technical College. On July 5, 2003, she was united in marriage to Ray Rickert at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Madison. Jodi worked with American Family Insurance before joining Oak Bank in Fitchburg where she worked as a personal banker. She had a variety of interests including volleyball, softball, traveling and snowmobiling, but she treasured most her time spent with family, especially her daughter, Sophie. In addition to her husband, daughter and parents, Jodi is survived by her in-laws, Donald and Judy Rickert of Pine River; maternal grandmother, Thella Wolfe of La Farge; a special aunt, Sheila Kellar of Cross Plains; two special cousins, Shane (Tami) Kellar of Madison, and Kelli Kellar of Cross Plains; two sisters-in-law, Liza (Les) Fritz and their two sons Andrew and Peter of Red Granite, and Susan (Lincoln) Plain of Minnesota; two grandmothers-in-law, Edna Rickert and Kathleen McBrair; and many other relatives and friends. Jodi was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Cecil and Iris Barlow; and her maternal grandfather, Dale Wolfe. Funeral services will be held at the ASBURY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 6101 University Ave., Madison at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 2, 2008, with the Rev. Gary Holmes presiding. Committal services will follow at Middlebury Cemetery in Iowa County at noon. Family and friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2008, at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, and also on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
