Major Madison High School Improvements 2010

I was fortunate enough to have had a tour of the nearly $12 million dollars of construction going on at Madison HS July 27, 2010 and I thought I would post this here and invite anyone to pass this news on. The first construction item is a whole new Football Stadium/Athletic Center at a cost of nearly $6 million dollars. New artificial turf, grand stands, lighting, track and field, snack bar-restrooms. Dual ticket booths with separate home/visitor entrances.
The second construction item is the new Automotive Education Center. At a cost of nearly $3.3 million dollars it has 8 automobile bays with roller dynos (I think-see photos), automobile lifts, high tech theater style class room with automobile sized roll up door for in class discussion and viewing of the cars. The third construction item is the new Hi-tech Multimedia Center at a cost of nearly $2.6 million dollars. All Hi-def nearly state of the art equipment it will consists of pre/post production rooms as well as a broadcast room. I was told that the expected completion date of the Automobile Center is this fall 2010 and the MultiMedia Center as February 2011. The Football Stadium is expected to be completed sometime in the Spring/Late Spring of 2011. Please take a look at the attached photos. All in all very impressive and exciting for students, teachers and alum like myself. Way to go Madison. Gary Hom
