Class of '68 - Winds of Change

Join us at the Renaissance Hotel, 8:00 p.m., December 20th, 2008 for a celebration of the Winds of Change as our class continues to thrive in the defining moments of history in our country, our state, our city, and our school, Jack Yates. Fee is $68.
Class or 1973 Weekend Reunion

The plans for our 35th Class Reunion are as follows:
• Jack Yates Football Game ~ TBA~ (the football schedule has not been posted)
• Get Re-acquainted ~ Friday, October 3, 2008, The Groove Downtown (Clyde Drexler’s former barbeque place) 6:00 pm (cost on your own)
• Dinner Dance ~ Galena Park Community Center~ October 4, 2008 7:30 pm - 12:30 am
• Sunday Worship ~ Metropolitan CME Church, 10:45 am, 10800 Scott @ South Acres (Brenda Morris Davis’ Church ~ small baby gold dome)
• Sunday Brunch immediately after Worship Service (venue) ~ TBA
The cost for the Reunion Weekend is $100.00 per classmate. *Married Classmates* will pay $125.00. Please see the definition for*Married Classmates* below. Gerald Joseph has graciously provided us with a facility to have our 35th class reunion. There is no cost for the facility. Listed below is a list of the expenses for our activities.
$500 ~ approximately 100 tickets to the football game (each classmate will
$200-250 ~ Police officers for the Dinner Dance (2)
$200 ~ Donation to the Church for Sunday Worship
$450 ~ DJ for the Dinner Dance
$350 ~ Decorations for the Dinner Dance
$125 ~ Clean Up Crew for Dinner Dance
Unspecified amount ~ for caterer and bartender for the dinner dance (this price will vary depending on the number of classmates participating)
We will award a Jack Yates graduating senior next spring with the Herbert Melton Scholarship ($500)
