Please could you help the students at J. P. Taravella

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to share an exciting opportunity that my students and I will be experiencing on December 29th - January 9th. We have been invited to participate in a foreign exchange program with one of the top culinary and hospitality schools in France, the Lycee Hotelier Georges Freche School in Montpellier, France. My students will have the chance to study and participate in this wonderful experience. With your support we can make this happen!
Attached is a letter with our requests and I have also included the link to our donation page. Our students will come back with the ability to make a difference in our school and community.

Greetings,

The ProStart class at J.P. Taravella High School in Coral Springs hosts one of the premiere culinary programs in Broward County. These talented and dedicated students won statewide acclaim by achieving First Place in Florida’s Annual ProStart competition in 2014, which allowed them to compete nationally in Minnesota.

The ProStart class at JP Taravella High School has received the tremendous honor of being invited to visit the Lycée des métiers de la gastronomie, de l'hôtellerie et des tourismes Georges Frêche school in France.

Students will be visiting the city of Paris and then will take a train down to the south of France, to Montpellier and study at the school for a week. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for our students, giving them an experience they will benefit from both vocationally and socially.

The cost of making this trip is estimated to be $25,000 which needs to be raised by December of 2015. Our students are working hard to raise funds for this trip by extended catering efforts and numerous onsite fundraising opportunities.

To date we have received donations and pledges from the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association, Sysco, and City based businesses.

We are asking your support to make this a reality for these talented young men and women. Won’t you please support this valuable cause and help enhance the experience of aspiring chefs and hospitality professionals?
