About	Carrie was born July 17, 1975 In Winfield, Kansas to David and Susan (Harclerode) Hill. The family moved to Independence, KS in 1980. Carrie attended Zion Lutheran School and then attended Independence High School, graduating in 1993. Following her graduation from high school, Carrie attended and graduated from Independence Community College with her Associates of Science degree in 1996. She then attended and graduated from Pittsburg State University in 1997, with a Bachelors degree in Social Work. She was employed as a Foster Care Social Worker with Kaw Valley Center, Permanency Social Worker with TCI Family Services, Social Services / Admissions at Windsor Place, and served as one of the early directors of Community Access Center, until numerous health problems prevented her from continuing to working.
