Jon Mitchell Galindo, 55, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on Saturday, August 27, at John C. Lincoln Hospital surrounded by family and friends.
Jon was born on September 6, 1960, in Peoria the son of William Sr. and Mary (Ramos) Galindo and was raised in Chillicothe, IL.
Jon is survived by his daughter, Alexandra (Elisha) Hanson, and his siblings, Marcia (Russ) Mudd of Chillicothe, Diana (Jerry Martinez) Crothers of Tempe AZ, Carmen (Jeff) Jenkins of Chillicothe, Kathy (Jim) Stenger of Kickapoo, Tony (Michelle Pomberg) Galindo of Chillicothe, Jamie Galindo of Chillicothe, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Billy Galindo.
Jon's biggest accomplishment was the birth of his daughter Lexi. In his eyes, this is "Why God Made Little Girls". He was also the owner of JMG Construction & Landscaping and was a master craftsman.
Jon was a devout member of Saint Rose Catholic Church in Anthem and devoted to God, his family and amazing friends.
Jon loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle and being outdoors in God's country. Jon embraced the western way of life. He wore a cowboy hat, boots and Wranglers and had many horses during his life. That is who he was. We called him Cowboy Jon.
