Service description I served as a Dental Assistant and I was stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA for 6 years and Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii for 3 years. I experienced one deployment to Gladstone, Australia. I enjoyed every minute of my time in the Navy. I was honorably discharged after the birth of my daughter Kayla. My husband Jon is a Cryptology Officer in the Navy. We also have a son, Logan. |

Service description As of March 2008, I am still on active duty as a Chaplain (Lieutenant Colonel) in the US Army. I have now served on active duty for 26 years. following 12 years in the Army Reserve. While in the Reserve, I served 5 1/2 years as an enlisted soldier and 6 1/2 years as a commissioned officer. While serving in the Reserve, I completed my college and seminary degrees and worked as a Baptist pastor in Southern Indiana, entering active duty as a Chaplain in 1982. I deployed to Southwest Asia with the 82nd Airborne Division during the Perisan Gulf War (1990-91). Since the beginning of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 I have twice been deployed to Iraq, serving 24 months in the combat zone. My wife, Delores (class of 68) and I have been stationed at Fort Devens, Massachusetts; Kaiserslautern, Germany; Fort Monmouth, New Jersey;two tours at Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Fort Sam Houston, Texas; Camp Hovey, Korea; Fort Lewis, Washington; Heidelberg, Germany; and two tours at Fort Knox, Kentucky. We are currently stationed at Fort Knox, and look forward to retirement from the Army in 2010 |
