About	Evelyn E. Grant, 85, Houlton, passed away Friday September 4, 2015 at a Houlton hospital. She was born in Houlton on March 30, 1930. Evelyn grew up in Houlton and graduated from Houlton High School. She then went to work at Fishman’s Mall. Evelyn met and married David L. Grant, Sr. and together they raised their two children David, Jr. and Joyce. She was a very hard worker cleaning houses for many years. Evelyn was a life long member of the Church of the Good Shepherd and helped prepare the Rotary lunches in Watson Hall for many years. Evelyn and Dave enjoyed lots of good times at Skitacook Lake with their family. She was a great cook and beautiful seamstress making a lot of her own clothes and things for her family. Evelyn is survived by her daughter Joyce Russell of Houlton, her son David L. Grant, Jr. and his wife Theresa of Linneus; four grandchildren Stephen Scott, Chantelle Condon, Cindy Grant and William Oswald; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband David L. Grant, Sr., her son-in-law Charles Russell, four brothers Arnold Smith, Merlin Smith, Arthur Smith and Gene Smith, three sisters Etta Spellman, Thelma Guy and Ida O’Donnell.
