About	She was a member of Military Street Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, and also taught at the nursery school until the time of her husband's death. She was the first female moderator of Southern Aroostook Baptist Association. She also formed a singing group called "The Golden Belles" with Polly Taylor. Mim is survived by five children, Julie Lockhart, Steven, John, Paul and Michelle Bedard; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Lois Tracy; many nieces, nephews and cousins; a close friend, Polly Taylor. She was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Frances (Bates) Young; her husband, Robert Nichols Jr.; two brothers, Ray and John; and two sisters, Dorothy Freng and Jean Conolly.
