About Cherie Kaye Honeycutt, age 45, of Hot Springs went home to be with her Lord on August 27, 2015. She was the firstborn of Frances Briner Honeycutt and Floyd Honeycutt on March 18, 1970.
She is predeceased by sister, Mary Louise Honeycutt; grandparents, Tennie Mae and Roscoe Briner, and Billie and Virginia Honeycutt.
Left to cherish Cherie's memory are her parents and two sisters, Misty Lynnette "Pig" Bailey (Jim), and Crystal Conklin Honeycutt; brother, Lane Daniel Honeycutt; nieces, Whitney and Tiffany Denham and Sarah Bailey; nephew, Jacob D. Bailey; great-nephew, Noah Demoret (all of Malvern); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, which she loved and was truly loved by.
Cherie focused her life on her education and travels. She was an honor graduate of Hot Springs High School in 1988. She attended King College in Virginia and graduated as Valedictorian at Henderson State University in 1992 with a 4.0 GPA.
Cherie loved to travel, working for Carnival Cruise Lines as a youth counselor, and also worked as a tutor and interpreter for various organizations and on several mission trips. She then attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and Texas A&M, graduating with a Masters Degree in Spanish in 2001, also attaining a 4.0 GPA.
Cherie then continued her love of education teaching at Arkansas School for Math and Science, College of the Ouachitas, National Park Community College, and for the Arkansas Dept. of Corrections. She continued her travels with family and friends, traveling throughout Central and South America and Europe where she met several people who became lifelong friends.
Cherie cherished her Bible studies with her friends at Hot Springs Baptist Church and with the Bible Study Fellowship. She also enjoyed participating several years as a cast member in "The Witness". Her service to the Lord and to others endeared her to many friends worldwide.
Cherie's loving spirit, contagious smile and warm hugs will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.
Service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Efird officiating.
