About Jack S. Drobena, 75, of Lonsdale passed from life to be with his Lord on Thursday, November 10, 2011. He was born on January 16, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Jack and Emogene Searcy Drobena.

Jack graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1954 and was in the Army from 1955 until 1957, serving his country in Germany. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum Plant in Benton. Jack loved to fish, hunt and garden, but mostly loved to feed and watch the deer that were almost pets that came to eat behind his house.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, parents, one son, John Stephen Drobena, one brother, Tom Drobena, and five uncles, Bryan, J.R., Mason, Newton and Duffy Searcy.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Christiana Drobena of Lonsdale, one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Gayle Drobena of Hot Springs, two daughters and one son-in-law, Ramona Drobena and friend, Mike Davis of Lonsdale, and Shannon and Geoff Gwinn of Little Rock, three step-daughters and sons-in-law, Lee and Jim Love of Hot Springs, Beth and Bobby Gray of Hot Springs and Josie and Joseph Mason of Florida, ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Hot Springs Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Monday at 11:30 A.M. at Ten Mile Cemetery in Lonsdale with Brother Carl Wright officiating. Honorary pallbearers are his special friends, hunting and fishing buddies, Army buddies and his neighbors, and the staff of Arkansas Hospice Inpatient at St. Joseph for their special care of Jack and his family during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Garland County Animal Welfare, Hwy 128, Lonsdale, AR or the Guardian Angel Cat Rescue on Malvern Ave., Hot Springs.
