My teacher at Hoover school in 1968-ish was moving to Australia. She asked us in her class to write a letter about ourselves that she would take to her new class in Mackay, Queensland, Australia. Her new students would pick out one of our letters and become pen pals. Vicky Keen chose my letter and we have been penpals ever since. She even came to visit me a few years back and we were wondering if there are any others like us out there still penpaling after an astonishing 50+ years.
