About	Ann L. (Gates) Schnell, age 64, of Upper Arlington, Ohio, and formerly of Springfield, Mo., passed away Saturday, October 27, 2007, in Mount Carmel Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Ann was a 1960 graduate of Hillcrest High School in Springfield, Mo. She was a receptionist with Zaner-Bloser Educational Publications for the past 17 years. Ann was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who above anything else loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Thomas Schnell; son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Melissa Schnell of Dayton, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Jeffrey Foster, of Pickerington, Ohio; beloved grandchildren, Tyler, Sophie, Nicholas and Claudia; sister, Sue Fisher; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Ann was preceded in death by her mother Kathryn I. Gates. She was formerly active with the Mary Evans Preschool at First Community Church. Ann loved to read, all types of music and cooking for her family and friends. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio, where funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, November 1, 2007, with Rev. James Long officiating. Entombment to follow in Union Cemetery.
