On behalf of the Class of '77, Joe Kolek (& the Anchor Inn), and the parents who have found themselves in need of assistance this year, I would like to thank those of you who participated in the Highland's "Toys for Tots" fill the bus campaign. In 1 week the Class of '77 was able to collect 114 toys and $602. What an awesome job! Seeing what kind of "dent" we made in assisting the students, well, that is what makes the spirit of Christmas the most extraordinary feeling!
As you wake up on Christmas morning, please take a minute to reflect on those parents, grandparents, and children that we were able to bring a brighter holiday to. I bet we put quite a few smiles on their faces. Again, to all those "Secret Santas", I want to thank you for reaching down into your hearts and wallets to make a total stranger enjoy what we sometimes take for granted. Toys for Tots Campaign
The Class of '77 wants to ask for your help in assisting a group of Highland's students fill a bus for their "Toys for Tots" campaign next Saturday. We are collecting toys, money (we can do the shopping for you) or checks (made payable to "Toys for Tots") at the Anchor Inn from now until noon next Saturday (12/6). We want this to be a surprise. Our goal would be to have a caravan of cars drive up to the bus and let them know how much the alumni are proud of their efforts. If you choose to help us, please let us know what class you are from when you drop your item off. Thank you for helping us help the students help those children less fortunate have a brighter holiday! Sue White Sobkiw
