F.Allen Frere 56, of Gardners, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, in Carlisle Regional Medical Center.

He was born Saturday, Nov. 17, 1951, in Natrona Heights and is a son of Floribert A. "Bert" and Grace J. (Peterson) Frere of Carlisle.

Allen was a 1969 graduate of Highlands High School in Natrona Heights. He was currently employed at Vectron International in Mt. Holly Springs and had formerly worked for Motts in Aspers and the former C. H. Masland & Sons in Carlisle.

He was a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Gardners. Allen enjoyed being a ham radio operator.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Zachary A. Frere and his wife Mandy of Carlisle; a daughter, Asheley N. Rotz and her husband Kenneth of Carlisle; two brothers, Thomas Bowser of Natrona Heights and Jeffrey Frere of Shippensburg; a sister, Cookie Nee of Levelgreen; a grandson, Aiden Rotz; and several nieces and nephews. Allen is also survived by his companion, Cindy L. Quigley.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Kenneth Swick officiating. Burial will be in Goodyear Cemetery. Viewing will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.
