Heritage Education Foundation
posted May 31, 2009
I am in the beginning stages of forming a Heritage High School Alumni Education Foundation.

This Foundation will be established and supported by Heritage Alumni and local businesses to assist students and staff in making Heritage High School a place of academic excellence.

With the current funding situation in Blount County, the money to meet the many needs at all schools in the county is simply no longer there. We must look for other ways to provide funds to improve and maintain educational opportunities at Heritage High School.

Right now, I am searching for all Heritage Alumni and need infomation. Please email the following information to sherry.walker@blountk12.org

Name(maiden)(current)
Address
Phone: Home & Cell
Year of Graduation (VERY IMPORTANT)
Occupation & Company Name

*Any additional information is welcome, such as a short bio. Please tell about yourself and your experience as a Mountaineer and your successes in life.

Our first project of how the money will be used is going to be announced at a later date.

Please DO NOT send any money at this time. Right now we need to start our Alumni Database.

Thank You for your continued support of Heritage High School! By A LOT of people giving a little, we can make Heritage a great place!

Help fund Teacher Projects!

How can Heritage Alumni give back? Here's how!

DonorsChoose.org is a website set up to help fund desperately needed projects for teachers. These special projects are not able to be funded by the regular school budget. Teachers on average spend $1,200 per year out of their own pockets to help pay needed items in their classroom.

May 4th - 8th is teacher appreciate week. If you would like to give back to your favorite school or teacher, please do so by donating to these special projects on the donorschoose.org website.

Please revisit the website often. More projects from Heritage High and Blount County teachers are being posted daily.

Thanks you for your support!
