Tommy and I were the best of friends. We had so much fun together it would take pages and pages to describe our friendship and the things we did together. We were inseparable in school and after school. We played so much softball together it was ridiculous. We also played in a tough flag football league in St. Louis. Flag football sounds a little soft but let me tell you it was not. It was full on football without the pads . The only guy halfway safe was the guy with the ball. Otherwise everyone else was fare game . Tommy and I had lost touch we each other over the last few years of his life. He was my best friend. I found out he had passed while I was on my lunch break at work. You really can't imagine how that felt. I cried like a baby and had a hell of a time finishing work the rest of the day. I called my boss right after I read the paper and told him about Tommy and I said I'm going to need a few days off work.He understood. Thank God I saw that article. I was able to go to the visitation and the funeral . It was one of the worst days of my life. I'll never get over it. We were as close of friends as it gets .He was a great man, father, athlete. You could never meet a finer person. I will miss him till the day I die. Love you Tommy !!!!
