Stephen while attending Henderson High School played basketball and earned the following in his career: 3 Year Varsity Starter; First Team all Ches-Mont in his Soph./Junior and Senior years; Ches-Mont Most Valuable player in his Junior/ Senior years; he earned First Team All -Area in his Junior/Senior Years; And Captures Ches-Mont Title with his team in his Soph./Junior and Senior years. Stephen also entered in 1000 pts club. Stephen went on to attend Kutztown University and as a Freshmen he earned PSAC Rookie of the Year, All PSAC East Second Team and NCAA Division II Bulletin All Freshmen Team. In his Sophmore year he earned PSAC East First Team. In his Junior year he has earned NCAA Division II Presearon All American, All PSAC East First Team and Daktronics All Atlantic Region Second Team. He has broked several records (single season record points in a season), (single season record free throws made), (Tied single season record field goals made).
