My name is Paul Borowski and I am running for the position of Trustee of the Hauppauge Board of Education.

I am an active community member with a strong commitment to represent the needs of our Hauppauge residents. The Borowski family has roots to the Hauppauge community since 1966 and I am a proud Hauppauge High School Graduate, Class of 1978. Over the past 7 years, I have been very involved with many community and school district initiatives and issues.
I am Age 52; Married to my wife, Kathy, for 21 years and have our daughter, Amanda, who is currently completing 8th grade in the Hauppauge Middle School. Personally, like my daughter, I went through the Hauppauge School District from elementary school through high school. I hold my MBA degree in Finance from Pace University and BA degree in Sociology & Business from State University of New York at Albany. My over 30-year career has been in Banking and I am currently a Vice President at a local regional commercial bank that is very community oriented.

My Goals as your Hauppauge Board of Education Trustee:
To help create a balance between the financial needs of our community, while continuing the quality education for our children that the Hauppauge School District and Board of Education has provided for decades.
To cultivate these high standards of a quality of education and related-services, including but not limited to, technology, arts and sports, literacy, foreign language and special education initiatives.
To support implementing long term renovation for the school district’s building infrastructure.
To utilize my financial experience as a long time banker to complement the Board’s team structure and continue to enhance our district’s financial procedures.
To advocate better communication venues for a successful partnership between the community and the Board of Education.
To continue to be a civic activist on behalf of community members to ensure that community issues that impact the district are communicated and appropriately addressed.
To welcome questions and answers from the community in our commitment to represent the needs of the Hauppauge residents.
I take my decision to run for the Hauppauge Board of Education as an opportunity to give back to the Hauppauge community. It will be my privilege to represent our children and the residents of our community.
I believe in keeping the community informed. I look forward to utilizing my Banking and community experience to complement the Board’s team structure and face the multitude of challenges, while remaining a strong advocate to help create a balance between the financial needs of our community and continuing the quality education for our children that the Hauppauge School District and Board of Education has provided for decades.
In addition, I support the capital reserve and technology reserve funds to consistently over time upgrade our buildings and technology infrastructure.
I am willing, able and committed to become a member of the Hauppauge Board of Education Team and welcome to being one of seven members that represent you.
