| About | One of our dear teachers has passed away. This is the obituary from the paper. I will remember Chris always for her wonderful smile & positive attitude. BORKOWSKI Christine Borkowski, 64, of West Haven passed away peacefully Wednesday November 2, 2011 at Milford Hospital Hospice Center after a long struggle with breast cancer. Sister of Joan (Barry) Roth, James (Gail) Borkowski and John Borkowski. Aunt of Kristen Roth, Kimberly Molloy, Jazlyn and Tyrus Borkowski. She also leaves behind many loving friends and neighbors. She was predeceased by her parents Raymond and Anne Pienkowski Borkowski. She was a teacher in the Bridgeport School system who influenced many of her students. Christine was an avid reader, traveler and loved watching movies. A memorial gathering will be held Saturday from 2 to 6pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Ms. Borkowski was my favorite teacher at Harding. I remember the first day of my freshman year a classmate ask Ms. Borkowski if because the class room number was 222 will we have as much fun as the students on the TV show Room 222. It turns out we had more fun. I am sorry to read that Ms. Borkowski past away in 2011. RIP Ms. Borkowski, thanks for some of the best memories of my life. Mike
