Tommy was my brother - I had no idea he was in an obituary section for graduates of HPHS! He was only 27 when he died of a rare disease called arteritis - his arteries were actually disintegrating. So little was known about this disease, there was really nothing that could be done for him in 1980. He was 8 years younger than me, and 10 years younger than our sister, Pat, who passed away in 2018. Tommy was a good guy, a kind guy, and what you saw with him was what you got! He worked for the Park Service in Morristown, a hard and dedicated care-taker of places like Jockey Hollow and Washington's Headquarters. He was engaged at the time to Kathy Philbrick - they had just bought a little house in the Howell, NJ area. He had a wonderful German Shepard (Pat was the breeder) named Beau. Beau lived on with our parents until his time, too, came. Tommy taught me to look beyond what someone looks like and see the person inside. I live with that reminder always. Continue to rest in peace, Tommy, I love you and miss you still! Barbara O'Connor Scott 1/16/24
