About	Ronald D.Coonts, 62 , of Grand Island died Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at his home. Ron was born Jan. 4, 1947, in Grand Island to William L. and Florence V. (Torgerson) Coonts. Survivors of the immediate family include one son, Troy A. Coonts of Eudora, Kan.; and one sister, LaVonne Wehmer of Grand Island. He graduated from Grand Island Senior High School in 1965. He was united in marriage to Vicki Rae Williams in June of 1965 at the Evangelical Free Church in Grand Island. Mrs. Coonts preceded him in death. He was a lifelong resident of Grand Island and his chosen career was as a firefighter and EMT for the City of Grand Island Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and three brothers, Marvin Coonts, Willis Coonts, and Leo Coonts.
