About	Joan S. Schleicher Mar 20, 1947 - Nov 15, 2023 Joan S. Schleicher, age 76, of Grand Island, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at CHI St. Francis Medical Center. A Celebration of life service will be held Monday, November 20th at 12:30pm at All Faiths Funeral Home. Dan Naranjo officiating. The service will be livestreamed on the funeral home website. A visitation will be held one hour prior. Burial of urn will follow at the Grand Island City Cemetery. Memorials suggested to the family for future designation. Condolences can be left at www. giallfaiths.com. Joan was born March 20, 1947 to David Mike and Helen June (Lewton) Ditter in Grand Island. She graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1965. Joan was employed with the Veterans Home and then the VA where she retired from in 2002. She was an incredible baker and made the best banana bread. She spent a lot of time gardening and taking care of her flowers. She watched a lot of true crime shows and had her own theories sometimes on what really happened. Roger and Joan enjoyed riding motorcycles later in life. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and enjoyed volunteering with the Red Hat Society. She loved everyone she met and especially adored spending time with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, they were her pride and joy. On July 8, 1989 she was united in marriage to Roger Schleicher. She is survived by her husband, Roger; son, John Jr. (Ramona) Ragland of Rocky River, OH; daughter, Joey Keezer of Temecula, CA; daughter, Jennifer (Chuck) Green of Grand Island; stepchildren, Chris Schleicher of Grand Island, Scott (Sheila) Schleicher of Lubbock, TX and Jason (Rita) Schleicher of Grand Island; 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; sister, Diane Ditter and numerous other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jim Schirkofsky.

So sorry to hear of Joan passing away. She and I were friends in school and had so many good times.
She and I and another friends enjoyed slumber parties and lots of fun activities young girls do.
I have always felt that 25 miles away from my home seems like 500.
She knew my sister Judy and her husband Darwin Katzberg. In fact the last time I saw Joan was
at Darwin's funeral.
I'm so sorry I missed her funeral, I did not know about it.
She was one of my friends and I'm proud that she was part of my life.
Sad to say goodbye to a friend. Thank you for the memories and years we shared together.
