John Albert Elway Jr., born on June 28, 1960, in Port Angeles, Washington, is a renowned former professional American football player. He is best known for spending his entire 16-year illustrious career as a quarterback with the Denver Broncos in the National Football League (NFL).

Elway, a Granada Hills High School alumnus in Los Angeles, California, went on to play for Stanford from 1979-1982 before being drafted as the first pick in the 1983 NFL Draft. His career highlights include being a two-time Super Bowl champion (Super Bowls XXXII and XXXIII) and being named Super Bowl MVP (Super Bowl XXXIII). He was also named NFL's Most Valuable Player in 1987 and received the NFL Man of the Year award in 1992.
