Chris Fontaine, a graduate of George Jenkins High School in Lakeland, Florida, is a recognizable figure in the world of stock car racing. Born on December 1, 1981, in Lakeland, Florida, Fontaine embarked on a successful career as an American professional stock car racing driver.

Fontaine began racing at the age of 16, driving Minicup racecars. In his early years of driving, he consistently performed well, achieving two wins and securing top-five positions in thirteen out of his fourteen races. He also won several Late Model races in the FASCAR and SARA Series. In 2001, he raced in the NASCAR All Pro Series. The following year, Fontaine attempted to debut in the NASCAR Busch Series, but was not able to qualify for races at various speedways. His racing continued in the FASCAR and All-American Challenge Series for the next two seasons, during which he achieved his career-best points finish of fifth.

Fontaine made his first-ever start in NASCAR competition at the national series level in 2005, driving in the Craftsman Truck Series for Bobby Hamilton Racing. He achieved his career-best finish of 13th at Gateway International Raceway. Throughout his career, he has raced in 59 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races over 13 years, earning his best finish of 25th in 2012. Despite not having won a race in his NASCAR career or secured a pole position, he achieved top ten finishes three times.
