What is Zack Golditch known for?

Zack Golditch, an American football player, was born on February 22, 1995, in Denver, Colorado. Golditch played as a guard and is a notable alumnus from Gateway High School located in Aurora, Colorado. He later went on to play college football for the Colorado State Rams.

Golditch started his professional career as an undrafted free agent, signing with the Los Angeles Chargers in April of 2018. He also briefly joined the practice squads of the San Francisco 49ers and the Indianapolis Colts in the same year.

In November 2018, Golditch was signed to the active roster of the Arizona Cardinals and made his NFL debut against the Los Angeles Chargers. However, he was waived in May 2019. He was then claimed off waivers by the Kansas City Chiefs but was waived during final roster cuts in August 2019. Later, he was selected by the Tampa Bay Vipers in the 2020 XFL Draft.

Despite a promising career in football, Golditch decided to retire after the XFL folded. He started 38 games over four seasons for the Colorado State Rams and was named first-team All-Mountain West as a senior.

Outside his football career, Golditch has endured and overcome significant personal adversities. Notably, he was wounded in the 2012 Aurora, Colorado shooting while he was a junior in high school. After retiring from football, Golditch chose a life of public service, becoming a firefighter with South Metro Fire Rescue.
