What is Clyde Rucker known for?

Clyde Rucker, born May 23, 1963, is a successful American entrepreneur and businessman who hails from Fort Sill, Oklahoma, U.S. After graduating from Gateway High School in Aurora, Colorado, he pursued higher education at the University of Colorado Boulder and Central Michigan University.

Following his service in the U.S. Army, Rucker established an impressive career in the corporate sector. He began at the Ford Motor Company as a zone manager, then moved to KFC (owned by PepsiCo at the time), and eventually served as a senior executive at Burger King for over a decade. His ascent in the corporate world didn't stop there. After Burger King went public in 2007, Rucker continued his executive career at Quiznos, holding various top positions including Executive Vice President, President of International, and Chief Operating Officer (COO).

In 2010, he founded Rucker Restaurant Holdings in Phoenix. As of 2019, the company oversees more than 80 Jack in the Box and Denny's restaurants across Arizona and Texas. Beyond his entrepreneurial success, Rucker remains engaged in his community. He was previously a member of the 100 Black Men of America and served on the Board of Trustees of Florida Memorial University. As of 2016, he remained active on the Board of Directors for the Valero Alamo Bowl.
