About	Son of George Edward Costigan and Helen Agnes Jeffries, brother of Thomas, Helen, Clare, Rosemary and Carol. Loving husband of Patricia Ann Condon and father to George Joseph jr, Deirdre, Kelley, Patrick, Siobhan, Sean, Brendan and Meghan. Born in Richmond Hill, Queens, he moved to North Merrick in 1962. A gifted and influential teacher, he was the Chairman of the English Department at Garden City High School and Adjunct Faculty member at Nassau Community College. He raised St Bernard show dogs, collected classic Volkswagen cars, was a keen photographer and gifted actor. Aristocratic, distinguished and a damned fine dancer.
