My son Zachary is indeed my Hero that deserves a spot on the Wall of Fame! He would have graduated in 2000 but, i made him move with the family to Orlando. He still has fond memories of all the Fruitport classmates!
Zach has served 2 tours in Irag as a Combat Medic,, returning just this month with his unit. His first tour he was the Medic assigned to the Security platoon. On Nov 4, 2005 his humvee was hit by a rocket.. His platoon command officer riding in the passenger seat was KIA after Zach performed emergency life saving actions,, despite Zach being hit by numerous shrapnel. He was awarded the Army Commendation medal with a Valor star for his actions that day....
I know there are many sons and daughters serving in the military and I appreciate them more today!
