COREY CARTWRIGHT, ESQUIRE
Class of 1988
Mr. Cartwright is a 1988 graduate of Franklin H.S. He was a student athlete from 1984 to 1988 and earned all conference and all county honors as a varsity member of the undefeated (11-0) 1987 Group III State Championship Football Team. The first of five children to attend college, he graduated with honors from North Carolina A&T State University in 1993. While an undergraduate student, he founded the Henry E. Frye Law Society named after his mentor, NC Supreme Court Justice Henry E. Frye, Sr. He went on to earn an academic scholarship to attend Howard University School of Law. His second year of law school, he was a visiting student at North Carolina Central University whereby he took classes at both Duke University Law School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
After completing his legal studies in 1997 he moved to Jacksonville, FL and served as Director of Human Resources. Shortly thereafter, he opened his law practice in South FL and now works with clients in NY, NJ, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL and the Bahamas. He now specializes in litigation, with a focus on Catastrophic Personal Injury / Auto Negigence, Medical Malpractice and Major felony cases.
He is a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. He is married to Attorney Ginger J. Cartwright and is the proud and doting father of two wonderful children; 7 year old Michael Corey Cartwright & 5 year old Michelle Faleese Cartwright. In his free time, he coaches and mentors via youth football and basketball programs in association with the P.A.L. and the YMCA.
His drive, dedication and commitment to his family and to his clients can be traced back to the lessons learned on the gridiron at Franklin High School where he was exposed to what it meant to persevere, be mentally and physically tough and do your best with no excuses. Thanks FHS, Len Rivers, Steve Foster and the entire 1984-1988 Football Coaching Staff for applying the pressure necessary to turn a lump of coal into the Diamond that is today!
Respectfully,
Corey Cash Cartwright, Esquire
